Your committee has been looking at the possibility of running training sessions for members.  After the Waringstown event, Sarah Mullins who judged dressage at that event, has offered to provide training  – as she points out an extra point in each part of the test could improve your score by 10 points!!
It is hoped to provide two training sessions using the dressage arenas and cones courses from Bobstock and Tandragee events, hopefully in the late afternoon/earlyevening. The first one will be held on Wednesday 8th July at Bobstock and will cost approx. £20 for an hours training. Details of the Tandragee session will be finalised shortly.
If you are interested in participating in these training sessions, could you contact Berry (92651506 or 07901957897) confirming which session you wish to attend, so that arrangements can be firmed up. Berry McCrae.

Craigantlet House Stables — Results and Pics…2015

Thanks to Christine and Alwyn for organising our second indoor/outdoor event on Saturday.  Another new venue and a great welcome from the management of Craigantlet Stables, Michelle Boyd and her family.  The weather was kind to us and although a chilly wind, the day remained dry.  Twelve competitors, including Dawn O’Donnell and Pete Noon who had travelled up from Wicklow and Louth, enjoyed a good run out and some testing obstacles.  A very close competition for the Open Pony class where Richard Logan, competing with a single pony for a change, narrowly beat Julie Ingram by a point!. Hopetoun Report and Results.

“Congratulations” to our club members; Dorothy, Jeffrey and Robert who travelled over to Hopetoun at the weekend.  On Friday all three were leading their respective classes after the dressage phase, Dorothy and Robert went on to win their marathons and Dorothy finished up first in the Advanced Horse class and achieved her qualifying score for eligibility for selection at the World Single Horse competition next year.  Well done  Dorothy, Sara and of course Boysie!  Unfortunately Jeffrey and Robert decided not to remain at Hopetoun for the cones phase due to uncertainty of the ferries on Sunday due to the high winds.

Just Desserts

The Committee and Members of NICDA would like to express their sincere thanks to Anne Lyons and her band of helpers for a lovely afternoon at the Lyons family home on Sunday. Over 30+ members and friends gathered for a truly scrumptious spread of beautiful desserts and cakes, with a total of £487 being raised for club funds.

It was a great afternoon enjoying good food and socialising in the spring sunshine, just like a large family! From our senior members including Cecil Geddis, our Club Patron, down to young Jacob Lyons everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable time! Many thanks Anne and co., for all your hard work and efforts, it is much appreciated. Report by Berry McCrae
