Message from our Club Secretary Berry McCrae, —
“On behalf of the members of the Northern Ireland Carriage Driving Association, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the HSI Carriage Driving Section and in particular to the Hughes family for organising and hosting the 2nd All-Ireland Championships. Without all your hard work and dedication, our sport could not survive and we greatly appreciate the efforts you all made to ensure the Southern event was such a success, in spite of the atrocious weather conditions!
In particular, we would like to say many thanks to Hazel, who as well as backstepping for John, was still able to remain calm and cheerful whilst organising and coping with all the problems as Event Secretary”.
Sincere Thanks to you all.

For the second year, a Carriage Driving Event is being run in Dualla, Tipperary. Parking and Stabling in one field. Entertainment in the Horse & Hound Pub, Music Friday and Saturday, Barbecue Saturday night.
This was a new event last year organised by Don Walsh and the local ploughing association and will run along side a threshing festival with horse & pony show on the Sunday. All those that competed there last year loved the venue and the event despite the poor weather. We were looked after very well with BBQ and music provided on the Saturday night. So if you weren’t there last year we would recommend that you check it out this year. Not far from the Horse & Jockey exit off the M8. Usual classes.
